Revegetation and erosion control go hand in hand. Without putting erosion control measures in place, a revegetated slope could ultimatly fail; and without seeding a slope where erosion control considerations have been met, the sediment control measures would stand up to the elements for only so long. Revegetation is the second step in minimizing impact to the local environment and habitat and its benefits can go far beyond an improved aesthetic look. Revegetation is the practice of applying seed and the nutrients germinating seeds can use to a disturbed soil to control erosion and restore a site’s natural defenses.
Who needs Revegetation / Seeding?
As resources are developed, the need to sustain natural *ecology* exists and Terrasol has many solutions available to every resource development sector. We have offered Resource Management for over 3 and a half decades and our expertise in Seeding is our second step for long term control of erosion on your site.
Terrasol offers these services to all major resource development serctors operating in western North America including:
|Not all projects require advanced erosion control systems. Most of our seeding options have “built-in” erosion control measures that are often adequate to control erosion until seed growth occurs. Nevertheless, erosion control should be taken into consideration when planning your project.|
What solutions do we offer for Revegetation / Seeding?
There are many different ways of seeding a project. The degree of slope, surrounding vegetation, and the access all factor in to which option is right for a project. Terrasol has a revegetation option that is right for your project and will work with you to establish a plan of action that works.
All of our systems have been developed with years of expertise. We have highly trained professional staff that will see to it that your project is completed properly.
