Wet Broadcast

Vegetation maintenance:
Overseed & Fertilizer applications

Wet broadcast is the application of seed and fertilizer to an area usually applied by a hydroseeder.  Using hydroseeders to seed in this manner allows for larger areas to be covered with the same amount of water.  It is primarily used in flat areas where erosion control measures, such as the wood fiber mulch typically added to a load of hydroseed, are not required or where there are other erosion control measures already in place.

Without the requirement of wood fiber mulch to the load, these loads can cover much more area than a typical hydroseed load. Our 3300 gallon tank, for example, can cover up to 3 hectares (7.5 acres) of area with one tank!

Often seasonal factors such as excessive snow or drought leave a seeded slope needing a “touch up”. Wet broadcast is used as a re-seeding and re-fertilization program to apply a boost to areas previously seeded with conventional hydroseeding.

Wet broadcast requires an experienced sprayer to cover a large job evenly. Our sprayers are well trained and most have been working for us as hydroseed sprayers for years. Our crews will bring a wealth of experience to your jobsite.
